How SpellJob works

Where our jobs come from, what we check, and how applications work.

Where the jobs come from

SpellJob brings together two kinds of listing:

  • Jobs from third-party job sources. We receive vacancies through the data feeds of established job boards and aggregators (currently JobLookup). We display the information those sources provide and link to the original listing to apply.
  • Jobs posted directly on SpellJob. Employers can create an account and post vacancies, which are marked "Posted on SpellJob".

What we check – and what we don't

  • Every employer listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live and again after any edit.
  • We remove listings when they expire, when employers close them, or when we find a problem.
  • We do not independently verify every employer or every job supplied by third-party sources. We show only the details the source provides and never add salaries, employers or locations ourselves.

How applying works

  • For most jobs, "Apply now" takes you to the employer's or job source's website, where their terms and privacy policy apply. Each job page tells you where you'll apply.
  • Some SpellJob employer listings accept applications through SpellJob. Your details and CV are emailed straight to the employer and not kept on our website.
  • SpellJob is free for job seekers. Never pay anyone to apply for a job.

Report a problem with a listing

If a job looks misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent – especially if it asks for money or bank details – please report it to us at info@spelljob.com. We'll investigate and remove it from SpellJob where appropriate. Read more in our Third-Party Job Listings Notice.

Your data

Our accounts store only what's needed to sign you in. CVs and profiles are emailed to our team and deleted from our web server straight away. See the Privacy Policy for details.
