Accessibility Statement
SpellJob wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people who use assistive technology. This statement covers https://www.spelljob.com.
What we've done
We have designed the site with the aim of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This includes:
- a “skip to main content” link and a logical heading structure on every page;
- full keyboard operation, with a clearly visible focus indicator;
- form fields with visible labels, with error messages linked to the field they relate to;
- text and interface colours chosen to meet AA contrast ratios;
- layouts that reflow on small screens and at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling;
- alternative text for informative images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers;
- country names always shown in text alongside flags;
- status messages (such as “Job saved”) announced to screen readers;
- support for reduced-motion preferences; and
- core features that work without JavaScript.
Compliance status
We believe the site is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, but it has not yet been independently audited. We last tested it on 18 October 2026, using automated accessibility testing (axe-core) on the main pages at desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes; no failures were found.
Known limitations
- Job descriptions from third-party sources are supplied by those sources. We tidy their formatting, but cannot guarantee their headings or wording meet every guideline.
- “Apply now” buttons on third-party listings take you to other websites, whose accessibility we don't control.
- CV files you upload must be PDF or Word documents. If this is a barrier for you, email us and we will find another way.
Feedback and contact
If you find a problem or need information in a different format, email info@spelljob.com. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which enforces the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland and Wales.
